New Strategic Direction

NYO has changed!. Here are some important updates about Newcastle Youth Orchestra in 2025, which reflect our evolution and our renewed commitment to musical excellence and community inclusion.

 

These changes are designed to provide the best possible orchestral experience for all young musicians in our region, while ensuring sustainability and accessibility.

Child Safe Policy

This policy outlines Newcastle Youth Orchestra Inc.'s commitment to creating and maintaining a child-safe environment and the steps we take to protect children from abuse and neglect. 

Child Safe Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct outlines appropriate standards of behaviour for all adults towards children in Newcastle Youth Orchestra Inc. The Code serves to protect children, reduce opportunities for abuse or harm to occur, and promote child safety in the orchestra environment.

Statement of Commitment to Child Safety 

Newcastle Youth Orchestra Inc is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for all children and young people involved in our programs. We have zero tolerance for child abuse and are dedicated to protecting children from harm. 

Fee Policy

At Newcastle Youth Orchestra Inc., we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy of orchestral music. While fees are necessary to fund our programs and ensure the continued operation of our ensembles, we understand that financial circumstances vary.
